Krew Kit #9"Our Christmas 2007"

This album was the most fun I have ever had working with Basic Grey..Everything in this kit just flowed together and was a blast to work with.
Jessica always thinks of the coolest little things to add, and this time She had 2 jingle ornaments in the kit.
I kept each page similar in a basic design.
Each page had 4, 2x2 black and white pictures(that I scratched using the tips of scissors to distress them)
Then I doodled stitches around the block of paper.
I really enjoyed this album because after working on it for 3 hours, I had an album with the highlights of last years pictures.

acrylic Christmas wall hangings

I was really inspired when I saw the different sized metal panels that were in the KK #9(www.kits2remember.com) so, the larger panel I turned into a wall hanging called "dear santa, Im on the nice/naughty list."
The way I adhered the words naughty and nice, I can change the title depending on my son's behaviour at the moment..hehehhee

December reveal at The Scrapping Bug

This month at The Scrapping bug, we worked with the 'Be Merry' line from My Minds eye.
Im not always into Christmas themed paper, but the colours and designs in this line is so fabulous that it was one of my Fave Christmas lines I have ever worked with.
The kit had so much paper in it, that I created 4 layouts, 3 cards, a Christmas gift bag and a framed wall hanging.
I also got to put my slice to good use. I used it to trim 2 tree shapes from the kraft bag, and then I placed a piece of patterned paper behind it.
These kits wont last long, so go scoop one up at www.thescrappingbug.com

Tag shaped acrylic album

Jessica www.kits2remember.com sent me this tag album to work with, for her to bring along to the expo in Florida in december.
I had never worked with this shape acrylic before, so it was really a fun challenge for me.
With Si turning 5 earlier this month, I wanted to create a simple mini slbum with memories from his birthday, while the memories were still fresh in my mind.
I used Ki Memories sheers on the front cover.
Instead of using ribbon on the binder rings, I strung Prima Flowers on the rings.
I used Paint dabber to paint along the edges of every page.
I used the Glitz designs circle rubon as the template for the pictures on the pages.
Every page has 4 pictures that I trimmed to fit inside that circle.

8'' acrylic circle album

"40 reasons why being your Momma rocks"

When Jessica(Kits 2 remember) sent me 3 acrylic albums and basically said to go nuts with them, I was really excited.
The first thing I decided when trying to figure out what to do with this mini album, was that I wanted to go with a black and green colour scheme, and from there I went with black and white pictures.
Majority of the embellishments I chose were black, with a few green ones for contrast.
I had a blast working on this, and this would be a typical example of my current scrapping style.

December daily journal album

After admiring Ali Edwards December journals for the last 2 seasons, I finally decided it was my turn to give it a whirl. I used two 5x7 acrylic pieces from Kits 2 Remember for my front and back cover, and then an assortment of patterned paper, transparencies, tags, envelopes and acrylic circles for the inside pages.
I am going to take a picture every day in December, so I can complete each page as I go along......are you playing along as well for December?

Nov challenge at...

www.thescrappingbug.com
My challenge on the forum is for you to create a holiday(any holiday) layout/card/altered item using non traditional holiday colours.
I love the pink & black colour combo, so I went with these colours for a Christmas card.

Mosy scrapper 12 days competition

I couldnt find one of my entries, but here are my other 3 entries from the 12 weeks of christmas competition.
Im not doing too well in points, but hopefully I can score some votes in the next month and a half..hahahah

Kits 2 remember

I can tell its late and Im tired because I uploaded the pictures from this acrylic album in the wrong order...so basically I showed you the album from back to front..hahahah
This was my first assignment on my second term with www.kits2remember.com and I didnt think it was possible, but Jessica has made these kits even bigger and better...Gorgeous rouge de garance patterned paper and lace cardstock.
and for a little bonus, I got Rouge de garance wedding acrylic stamps(hence the wedding album i designed)
I LOVED this kit...my fave K2R kit yet!!!!!
