November projects at Crazy Daisy Kits

Here are a few of the layouts(and the mini album) that I created using this months kit over at Crazy Daisy kits.
The kits are always so jam packed, that it is easy to create 6-9 layouts and a mini album..I LOVE that!!!!
To see what the other girls have made using this kit(or one of the add on extra kits) go to www.crazydaisykits.com/blog/

more my Stamp BOX

Here are 2 recent layouts I made using my Stamp BOX stamps.
I love the stamps because they are so versatile that they could really be used on any project..layout, card, mini album, altered item, etc

Recent layouts

Here are just a few of the layouts that I managed to work on while away at the scrapbooking crop in Saskatoon last weekend.
I also took a fun "360 degrees" class with Vicki Boutin, did a candle make n take, made 2 cards to donate, along with a few more layouts, and I have everything put together for my December daily album.

my Stamp Box blog post

Today is my turn to post on the my Stamp BIX blog, and I did my post about layering stamped images.

Introducing..Aries Grae

After looking at many different dogs and puppies, we fell in love with a 7 week old purebred St Bernard, that we named Aries Grae.
She is already 25 pounds, hasnt barked yet, likes other animals and kids, and is VERY lazy, and docile.
She has been a welcome addition to our family.
Memphis isnt too sure about this big beast just yet, so the 2 of them spend a lot of time walking in circles, smelling each other. It is cute though because Memphis is acting like a jealous big sister..when Aries gets attention, then Memphis gets right in there for some attention too.
Si loves the new puppy, and is already calling himself the big brother to the dogs..hee hee

November kit at Crazy daisy kits

The kits this month at Crazy Daisy are to die for:)
You have several different options for kits this month..
1)The standard main kit
2)The add on with a kick kit
3) The paper kit
I had the standard main kit to work with, and even with creating 5 layouts and a mini album, I still have quite a bit of supplies leftover.
This layout I made using the November kit is titled "hello my name is"
I did a lot of fussy cutting with the patterned paper flowers.
To see what the other members of the design team have created using these kits, or to order your kit go to www.crazydaisykits.com/blog/

Upcoming fall crop

To see the full blog post, check out Leica's blog at http://10-4livingoutloud.typepad.com/leica_forrest/

Here is part of her post(Can you tell I am super excited)
So this year's theme is Mexican Fiesta. So our decorations around the event will have a Mexican theme, perfect for photo ops, the food will of course be yummy! So you are welcome to decorate in this theme or any theme. Whatever you would like. You know I will give you a little warning, the game is on. There is some stiff competition to throw the domestic housewives off their winning streak... so are you and your gang gonna try??? I dare you. It's all fun and games. Of course there will be prizes! Don't ya love prizes? We have no seating arrangement, instead we are going to set up "groups of tables" according to size of groups people gave us. It seemed to work well last year.

Times:
Friday 6pm-midnight
Saturday 9am-midnight
Again we will open the doors right on time, you will be able to leave all stuff in the gym overnight under locked doors.

We have a huge goal that we have been working towards with the support of so many. We want EVERY child in the hospital at Christmas to receive a ready made scrapbook album. We are going to give them albums that are made with so much love & kindness. All they have to do is add their own photos & journaling. We are also going to throw in stickers and fun stuff as well. If you would love to help in this adventure, we are looking for 8x8 or 6x6 pages, or new/gently used 8x8 albums. They can be very generic or themed if you like. Any amount is welcome. We are looking for smiles all around.

Now down to the goodness...

will there be prizes??? of course!!!!! And this year since we are raising money for the children albums, we thought why not have a mini album theme??? Sounds like fun hey? So here's how it goes,

Mini Album Contest- share with us your favourite mini album, we will put them on display for people to peruse. We welcome any creativity, any style.

Layout contest- bring a colour photocopy of your favourite layout to share. We LOVE to see your work. It's fabulous and sooo inspiring.

Card Contest- we thought that we would make children's get well cards this time. They will be given to the recipients of our albums, and any extras will be given to the hospital to give the children as they see fit. (THESE CARDS WILL NOT BE RETURNED)

And once again we will have fun fun fun prizes to purchase raffle tickets for. We've been gathering some fun amazing things. And the best suggestion I was given is instead of having the huge prizes as last year, have more prizes for more chances to win. So of course we aim to please. With having the subtle theme of mini albums, I gathered as many unique albums as I could find and made awesome kits with the latest greatest releases. Can't wait to see your thoughts. And we have amazing sponsors as well this year. super cool!

This year we have a guest coming from Manitoba to do the Make n Takes. So let's welcome Trace Geworsky. And this fabulous girl has ideas. I am really excited for her to present.

There is more to come, sponsors to talk about, and a major fun thing. I will update when life here resumes to normal. But I just wanted to keep you guys in touch. From now on, I will have a link to this post so that I will just keep adding new stuff to this one. Then it makes it easy to find. sounds good?

This is probably the biggest crop that I will have ever attended.
Vicki Boutin & Leica are both teaching classes.
It's going to be a long road trip, but making it with 2 very awesome friends, will make the ride so much more fun!!!!
p.s. Let's just say that my make n take will involve stamps from my Stamp BOX...That's all I will say at this point:)

New years 08-09

Using the September kit at www.crazydaisykits.com I made a layout about the very low key New Years that I spent with ds. I loved the owl that was on the cute little card included in the kit, so I cut the owl out to use it on the layout. I stapled each wing(just for looks) and adhered to my page using a pop dot.

genius batman

I just finished working with the September kit from www.crazydaisykits.com and it was pretty cool to work with..I especially LOVE the included mini album(I am not done this one yet as it will be a work in progress while ds is in Grade one) but I did complete 8 layouts.
This one is titled "genius batman" and my goal with this layout was to use up alot of the extra patterned paper scraps leftover from the kit, so I created a lot of layering.

Where do you live?

(I forgot to post this yesterday)
But my first challenge to work on for September as the GDT at Scrap Tiffany was to scrap about my home.
It's so easy to forget to document these small details, but what a great memory to pass down from generation to generation.
I used glimmer mist, my Stamp BOX stamps, and had a LOT of fun with this page.
To check out what the DT girls did with this challenge go to http://www.scraptiffany.com/blog_tiffany/
