new addition...

to my tattoo family. It is on my left inner wrist and hurt like a bugger.

Saturday

July 28/07
This weekend was our sunflower festival in town, and I hate to say it, but We found it quite disappointing this year(especially the parade)
After lunch, we brought my Dad & Yvonne to the airport and then I got a tattoo at Skin Dimensions. I will post a picture of it soon..it is still quite sore. Met Cindy Burkitt & Jolene at the Olive Garden for a delicious dinner & then we were off to the Hilary Duff concert. Her backup dancers were amazing, and it was a good concert, but not one of the better ones I have attended.

new hair

Friday, july 27/07 I finally got my hair worked on..Thanks Darcy for doing such a great job.

very touching

I dont know if anyone has ever heard of the song "In my son's eyes" by Martina McBride?! I can't say that I have heard this actual song, but I stumbled across the song lyrics, and it inspired me to complete this layout. I think Im getting more emotional with old age, because reading the lyrics I had tears in my eyes. The words were beautiful and they hold value in the relationship between My son & I.

1 month to go....

til I am 29 years old...gulp. Wow, Thats a hard one to swallow!!

Goal achieved

Tuesday, July 24, 2007
I am so extremely pumped!!!! I just received the news this evening that I was selected as one out of four to be on the design team for Rhubarb Roots scrapbooking store. I love this store, and this has been a goal of mine, so this news was like Christmas to me..lol. Thank You ladies for giving me this opportunity. I will not let you down.

Goodbyes

Monday, July 23, 2007. Today We had to say goodbye to Curt & cindy as this is to be our last time seeing them before they head back to B.C. tomorrow. I am experiencing sadness with this, as Silas & I have a real bond with them, they are such postitive people that being around them helps to take our mind off of certain things, and they are just soooo much fun to hang out with. I also really love to see the bond that has developed even greater between Silas & them. He has so much love for them, and vice versa. We really appreciated that they made time to do things with Silas, and that is something that he will always treasure.I shed many a tears with this goodbye, and I can not wait to see them again at some point.

Frustration...

is what I have been feeling. I hate going through a "messy divorce" I thought Rob & I had overcome an obstacle by learning to communicate without being in a relationship, but apparently not. I hate that I am in constant contact with my lawyer as a way to contact Rob. I hate having to distract my child from the fact that he does not have a stable father figure in his life....grr!!! Just had to vent.

pictures of half of my family

Thursday, July 19/07
Yvonne, my Dad, Cherie, Cindy, Curt and of course Si & I, at the nature park.

a picture is worth a thousand words

Thursday, July 19/07
Something about this picture just pulls at my heart strings. These are my 2 favorite guys. My son and my Dad. And I love to see the special bond that these 2 have. They seem to understand each other, and really connect. My Son sure adores his Poppa. Every thing he wants to do he asks if he can do that when he is a poppa. I think it is so cute how when he grows up he wants to be just like his Poppa..accountant and all.

birthday celebration

Thursday, July 19/07
My sister-in-law Cindy's birthday isn't until the weekend, but we celebrated tonight. We had dinner, and then a family walk in the park..always lots of laughs, always lots of silliness.
Happy early birthday Cindy...We love you!!

green hair?

Oh by the way, did I mention that along with the fun of jumping off the diving board, and swimming came green hair. And Im not talking light green hair, but I have noticeably lime green hair.....ugh!!

diving board

Saturday, July 14/07 Well since I got over my fear of waterslides, I thought it was about time to get over my fear of diving boards. And it was so much fun, I went several times in a row. I really can't belive what a chicken I was for sooo many years..lol
This evening Silas & I went with Yvonne to visit Grandma Fehr at the boundary trails hospital. Technically she is my step-grandma but She has always been so welcoming to us that I love her as My Grandma. She is an amazing woman, and I really hope She can pull through the recovery process of her surgery, and keep on healing.

role model

This man(My Dad) is My biggest role model, along with My Grandma Wiebe. They have both taught me soooo many things, and I would be completely lost if they were not in my life. I love you!!!!

butt in gear

I need to get motivated one of these days, and start displaying some of my layouts and other work. Well, now I have a goal for the weekend at least..lol. I do keep adding pictures to my photography though.
I am very excited because Curt & Cindy are coming out tonight from B.C. So we are all meeting at my Dad & Yvonnes for a steak dinner....Ive been counting down the months then weeks and then days, and it is finally here.

challenges

Monday, July 2, 2007
I must say I am VERY proud of myself!!!! With the help pf My son and his Dad, I overcame my fear of waterslides...at least of the one at the Altona aquatic park..lol. As soon as I got down the 1st time I was pumped and ready to go again. Silas was actually tired of that before I was....I had an absolute blast and felt like a kid again....whoohoo!!!!!!!!
Another challenge that I overcame today was with Rob(Silas' dad) We finally started to communicate again, and are working toward becoming great friends, so that we can co-parent our son. I noticed how happy this made Si, and thats all that matters.

Canada Day weekend

Si & I had a great weekend, and kept pretty busy. On Canada Day he rode his bike in the parade, which was entertaining as he was at the front to start, and then the very last one to finish..although I am still surprised that he rode his little trike all that way. We bummed around the park all afternoon, and then ate McDonalds for supper, and went swimming, and the fireworks were absolutely amazing.
