K2R may kit Debut

May 2/08
I just finished working with the May kit from Kits 2 remember, and it was SOOOOO up my alley. I had never worked with Bam Pop products before, but it was definetly my style.
**This was only a sneak peek of my work with this kit, you can check out more at Jessica's site
This was a huge kit....I made an acrylic album, 2 cards, one layout, an acrylic wall hanging and still had a lot left over.... But there are only a limited amount of kits for sale, so grab one before they sell out.

I am a part of the design team over at and today was the launch of our design team's first assignments, and let me tell ya....There is a lot of great talent happening over there...what are you waiting for? Go check it out!!!

new art

Sunday night I was ready to cover up the winnie the pooh tattoo I got when I was 18. It was the first tattoo I ever got, and for most of my life I was obsessed with Winnie, but after having my son, I just couldnt stand it....I think Pooh got too popular and overdone.
The reason why I picked stars is because I am addicted to stars, I feel like it's my "symbol" I now have 8 stars on my body..ha ahaa and it had to be quite large because the pooh bear was large.
I chose the word FREEDOM because I am at the place in my life where I feel like I am who I am, and I will not change for anyone or anything.

**I hope to post pics this week of the tattoo I got on my lower back Thursday evening.

Thankful for.....

Amazing sister in laws!!!
My brother and his wife are out here from BC for 2 weeks, and I am thrilled!!!!
We had a yummy perogy dinner at My Dad & step moms Saturday night, and as always had a blast with them...This is a bad picture of me, but Its me and Cindy laughing at who knows what?
I love hanging out with them, and just being silly!!!

Ice storm

April 24/08

This morning things got really ugly out here.....We got a pretty wicked ice storm and something REALLY freaky happened at my place. Right after my friend pulled into my driveway to pick up her son, a live hydro wire broke loose from the ice and was hanging on my driveway and my neighbours. It was about 45 minutes until hydro "killed" it.
We were also without hydro for 3 hours, but the scariest thing was that if my friend would have pulled in even 10 seconds later, who knows what could have happened.
It reminded me that we should live each day as though it were our last...You never know what could happen.

My April sketch

Here is my horrible hand drawn sketch, so head over to Rhubarb Roots and you can see the layout I created using my sketch.

daycare sign in project

Using the small rectangle pieces of acrylic and also chipboard, I taped one of each together, mod podged a picture over top, wrote the childs name, and added the negative piece of velcro. Then I adhered ribbon to the sticky part of velcro, and now when my daycare children arrive, they can stick the ribbon to their picture to show that they are here for the day. The kids caught on to this quickly, and have had fun with it.

April Challenge

I created this layout for my April challenge over at
Go check out, what my challenge was
p.s. Isnt it a little creepy that my son can fit into his build a bear outfits?!

wall hanging

Using up goodies from K2R, I used the square acrylic piece to make this wall hanging.

Old friends

March 29, I met up with one of my oldest, bestest friend, Brian.
We grew up together as neighbous and classmates, and hung out a lot...Its always nice to have a strictly platonic friend of the opposite sex....
We are both going through a divorce, so we thought it was time to go out and dance, to finally clear our heads.
As you can tell by the last picture, we had a blast.

1st assignment for Kits 2 remember Dt

I was working on a circle acrylic album (Clear Scraps) for my first assignment.
I only wanted to share a little peek, so you can go check out the rest at:
**For the cover, I ran out of white paint, so I used sharpies paint pen with a Heidi Swapp make to achieve the branch that Si is "sitting" on.

new 12x12 layouts

Last Saturday, I spent the morning cropping at Rhubarb Roots, and I was really excited to try out the new Making Memories paper. I believe that with great paper, you will always have good results on your layouts..hee hee
