Sunflower festival

July 29/08
Well, we survived another festival.
We had a lot of fun. We participated in the scavenger hunt(Rob won $25 gc to IGA) went to 2 pancake breakfasts, Si was in the parade with His Poppa(in the vette) We brought my Grandma along to a breakfast and the parade, got to hang out with one of my best friends(Cindy)watched the stage show with the Johnny Cash impersonator, ate at the mennonite food buffet twice(youch, my pants are way tighter now)

Donkey love

July 29/08

It was the weekend for our annual Sunflower Festival, and we fell in love with this donkey. He spent the weekend at the petting farm in the park, and we kept coming back to see this guy and give him some treats(lemons, ice cream cones, sunflower seeds, baby carrots) and it was so cute because he was so gentle and smart. I think he recognized us because whereever we stood he would stand by, trying to snoop in my bag to see what I all had for him.(He even tried munching on my hair)
If only it was possible to have him for a pet:)

Friendly neighbours

July 29/08
I am so fortunate to have 2 neighbours whom have become really close friends.
We all spend a lot of time together...going for walks, scrapbooking, eating meals together, going on outings, out for ice cream, etc.
I would be lonely without these 2 girls!!! They help make this an awesome neighbourhood to live in.

Summer weakness

July 29/08
I Must confess....We spend wayyyy to much time here during the summer. The ice cream hut in Altona has the BEST soft ice cream(especially vanilla) I don't normally have a waffle cone, but this time I tried something different.
I think I will stick with my usual.....small vanilla in a normal cone

Miscellaneous post

July 29/08
Are these not the greatest shoes ever? okay okay. Are they not totally "Trace" shoes?? he ehee
I was pleasently surprised when Rob came home one trip and had these awesome shoes for me.
I have an "addiction" to DC skate shoes. I now have 3 pairs of the skate shoes, and one pair of thong sandals.
Rob & Si each have a pair of Dc shoes too:)

**I have some AWESOME scrapping news, but it will have to wait until the weekend, before I can share it with you all.
**I did it!!!! As of Wednesday morning, Memory Makers magazine will have my submission for the Memory Makers Masters competition sitting on their desk. It feels great to have accomplished that.

Clip it up

July 24, 2008
After procrastinating this purchase for a long time(because I felt intimidated by it..lol)
I finally caved and bought one from Rhubarb Roots, and all I can say is "why didnt I buy one sooner???"
I LOVEEEEE IT!!!!
It rocks!!!!!
I used mine to organize my acrylic stamp sets, which frees up a lot of space.
I organized them according to the manufacturer.
I do want to buy another one yet, just for my embellishments:)

Getting in the Christmas spirit

July 21, 2008
My mind has been thinking along the holiday theme lately.
For this project, I altered a jiffy pop container(you know what Jiffy pop is...The cool popcorn that you put on the element and shake it around)
I covered the top of it with a circle of patterned paper, and cut fringe around the edges.
Then i covered the middle of that piece with another circle of patterned paper.
I added my title, and the martini glass picture I cut from a napkin.

I tied strips of ribbon around the handle, covered a Maya Road bottle cap with a Prima epoxy sticker and punched a hole in it, so I could thread it with the ribbon.
Thanks for looking!!!

a gift

Imposters layout

July 10, 2008
I just completed this layout tonight
I had these goofy pictures of My brother and I from when we were in Florida.
I drew the Mickey mouse head free hand, and then cut it out.
Everything on here is American Crafts, except for the cardstock(bazzill) and the reinforcements(that's right...you can use those on your projects!!!)
