my Stamp BOX

Im fairly certain that there is just no possible way, that I could ever tire of my Stamp BOX stamps...They are just so versatile!!!
For this layout I used the 'letterboxes' alpha and 'funky flowers'
I stamped the flower design 4 times, using a different coloured ink(KI Memories and Doodlebug) each time. Then I used my circle punch to punch out the designs.

productive weekend

Well, aside from spending Saturday in the city(Disney on Ice, and the movie "confessions of a shopaholic") I managed to get 10 layouts done this weekend...I LOVE weekends where I get a lot accomplished!!!
and online crops definetly help for that.

my Stamp BOX creations

I am still head over heels in love with my Stamp BOX acrylic stamps...the possiblities just never quit with them.
I wanted to use the same sets with pretty much the same products to create a card, a layout and a tag of a similar theme.

As my DT commitments to The Scrapping Bug comes to an end, here is the layout I created for their blog challenge.

My Stepmom Yvonne had her birthday on the 15th, and my brothers long term girlfriend Stacey has her birthday today.
Happy birthday Ladies!!!!!

Punk Rock Scrappers

I heard about this really wicked new challenge blog through pubcalls.
It is over at www.punkrockscrappers.blogspot.com and they are currently accepting applications for their upcoming design team.
The person in charge 'Drew' has got the coolest personality, so I am really looking forward to participating with their upcoming challenges...This is one challenge blog I am stoked to see coming!!!

Babysitters Guide

Well, Im (a little) embarrased to admit that I have never gotten a babysitter for my 5 year old son(It has always been my parents who have watched him)
In a few weeks, a 15 year old girl will be coming into my home to spend an evening with my child, and Im already worried that I will forget to tell her something important, so I had been thinking of already working on a list to leave her, when a package arrived from Jessica(Kits 2 Remember)..full of lots of yummy acrylic, chipboard & metal(and let's just say, they left my mind going 90 miles an hour)
So, I decided to use 5 pieces of 4x4 acrylic to make a fun little babysitters guide for my future babysitters.
In this book I have included important information(such as emergency contacts, Doctors number, etc) a page about what he eats, a page about his bedtime routine, and a page about our puppy(because technically she will be babysitting this one too..lol)
I paired the acrylic pieces with some yummy Ocotber Afternoon(from the nite light collection) a rubon from Jenni Bowlin, paint from Making Memories, chipboard crown from Maya Road, distress stickles from Ranger, and letter stickers from Making Memories & Scenic Route.
The ribbon is from the $1.00 spot at Michaels
My talented fellow Dt'ers over at www.k2rkrew.blogspot.com have been busy working their magic with acrylic..Go check out our blog over there..some VERY creative ideas for all occasions!!!

Thank you cards

This last week, I made 3 cards with a 'Thank You' theme.
I tried to make each card different from the next, while going out of my comfort zone with them.
For the "Thanks for being you" card, I used an embossing folder from my Cuttlebug to create the swirly look on the cardstock.
For the "Thanks for your hospitality" I used rubons from Little Yellow Bicycle, and layered them.

White space

Here is a layout about Memphis that I made for my lss, Rhubarb Roots.
I love the look of white space on a layout, and chose patterned paper(Teresa Collins) where it would be quite simple to work with white space.

**One of my cards from this months My Scrapping Bug Basic Grey's 'bittersweet' kit was picked up for the BG gallery today!!!

Basic Grey-Bittersweet

This month over at The Scrapping Bug, we were sent a kit with Basic Grey's Bittersweet line to work with.
This has been one of my favourite BG lines(aside from Mellow) so I had a great time creating my layouts.
This is the last kit I will create with during my DT term for The Bug, so I am a little sad about that but plan to continue chatting with the girls over there.

Feb 2 card reveal

This month Deanne gave us the otion of using Cosmo Cricket products on our cards as a tribute to our fellow Dt'er(who passed away over Christmas)
I have always loved CC, but never really know how to work with it, so this month was a challenge for me:)
