"Love at first bite"

I just picked up these Maya Road cupcake stamps from Rhubarb Roots about 2 weeks ago, but they were sitting on my counter unused, until one of my fellow dt'ers Shauna asked if I could quickly whip something up for the newsletter, and ten minutes later this was what I had.
I used the Rose Moka letters and patterned paper from their summer kit.
I punched 5 squares and inked every side.
I placed the letter stickers onto plain white cardstock and trimmed around it, so I could place my title in between the 2 cupcakes.
I stamped each cupcake image 3 times, trimmed out the details piece by piece, and layered them using pop dots.

October kit creations for Rhubarb Roots

I LOVED this kit from RR.
There was an endless supply of Rose Moka paper(which is gorgeous by the way) This kit was jam packed full of paper, embellishments, letters, etc.
p.s. Im not sure why my words are underlined like this..freaking me out a little:)

Its Thursday

9/11
WOW!!! Can you believe it has been seven years today, since the 9/11 tragedy.
I remember it as though it happened yesterday. I came home from work at the residence to see Rob glued to the tv, so I went to see what he was watching, and spent the next few days glued to the tv too.
Even though it isnt mentioned daily, the victims will always be remembered.
To change the subject....
**On Elsie Flannigans blog today she wrote that she resigned from Ki Memories...meaning there will be no more love, Elsie. This REALLY bummed me out. I love Elsie and I Love Ki memories, so naturally I loved them together:)
BUT...
on a happier note...I had a great mail day.
**I received my paint dabber set I won from Citrus Tree studio
I just had to try them out on paper..great colours, hey?!
**I received my prize pack from Fancy pants...a sheet of rubons, christmas stamps and ribbon...yeehaw!!!!!!!
and I also received some very awesome supplies from Memorable Seasons to create with as their guest designer this month.
Once I have finished creating, posted my creations, etc I will link ya to them, and show you the goodies I got to work with(I had never gotten my hands on any of these supplies, so that will be fun)

My baby started Kindergarten

After having him home with me for the last 4 and a half years, it is now time for him to break free from Momma a little bit. He started last Friday, and already he has started the attitude where as soon as he came home, he couldnt remember what they did in school....oh great!!!!!

Time to catch up on my blogging

September7/08
I am still alive, and yes!!!! I am still scrapbooking(But because my creations have been for challenges, etc I can't post them on here yet:))

Today, Memphis is 3 months old...and isnt she cute as ever???
I survived my 30th birthday(barely) a few weeks ago, and so far I am not impressed with 30....can't I just stay in my twenties for at least another year??
I was spoiled with 2 cakes..My fave was the one my Step Mom made(banana cream pie)
Si helped me blow out the candles on the ice cream cake, because 30 candles is a LOT!!!!
A few of my girlfriends were bugging me because I will never have an alcoholic drink with them at dinner, so they convinced me to have a cigar with them(I am VERY anti-smoking..lol)but I smoked a cherry flavour cigar and wow did I pay for it with a headache and dizziness....no more of that for me.
I ended up going in for emergency surgery because my cyst was abcess(or how ever you spell it) so last saturday I went in for the procedure. They were happy because it was located in a good spot so they could remove the entire thing(so hopefully It shouldnt come back) and they sent it in for a biopsy.
I stayed awake for surgery(opted for the spinal instead because I wanted to leave my piercings in..lol) but the spinal didnt go too well, after the 9th try it was finally successful. He kept hitting the same nerve(so ya, now I get to worry about nerve damage...and if I sit in certain ways my back really hurts) But the recovery has been pretty good. I started work 2 days later and felt great, but I may have overdone it this week because this weekend I have had some pain and extreme fatique, so I have been taking it very easy this weekend, so I am ready to roll again tomorrow.
