New class coming to Scrapbook Kit Club

We are starting something new here at SBKC! Begining in September, we will be offering a class every month on the 15th. On the 15th of the previous month, we will post a picture and description of the upcoming class kit for you to view. If you like what you see, you will have until the 1st to place your order for the class kit. Your goodies will arrive in the mail in plenty of time for you to ooh and ahh over them before the "class" starts (on the 15th of that month). We will have a special forum on the message board for class participants to get step by step instructions, as well as a place to chat and post pictures of the completed projects! These projects will vary each month. If you can not make it to "class"-no problem! You will recieve full color instructions in your kit!

So, now that we have all of our instructions......here is our September class kit. To order your kit-send me an email between now and September 1st with your name and "September Class" in the subject line. You will be sent an invoice once the minimum number of people needed has been met.

another favourite

This would be my favourite layout I made using the August kit from www.scrapbookkitclub.com The tree is even better irl..Amber made it herself,,Isnt it lovely??
I tied a ribbon around the fabric tree, and used a patterned paper circle and a Button to top off the tree.
I rubbed ink over each chipboard figurine and then used a stamp from my Stamp BOX to randomly stamp words all over the figurines.

Chatterbox butterfly album

Imagine my delight when this funky & original Chatterbox mini album was part of the August kit at www.crazydaisykits.com
I had never seen this one in person before, and being a fan of anything related to butterflies, I was pleasently surprised.
For the bag I took a chipboard butterfly page out of the album to use as a template, and I hand stitched the design onto the bag, finishing off with thickers(numbers) inside the butterfly, and then spray painting the bag. For the cover, I adhered a rubon design over the butterfly design, added some doodling, a sticker for the title, and half of a journaling spot.

I added 1-2 mini prints(pictures) per page, along with minimal journaling and embellishments.

I really liked the colours and designs on the inside pages..every page is a little different.

Because of how the album closes, I kept embellishments to a bare minimum, so that I wouldnt have a hard time closing the album when it was all complete.

I added several stickers, and hand cut designs to the inside pages.

my Stamp BOX layout

This is the first layout I have made, using the stamp set 'Tree for all seasons' by www.mystampbox.com
I stamped the tree, subtitle and 2 small birds (all using stamps from this fantastic set)
This would have to be my very favourite stamp set from my Stamp BOX because it really is a set I could use for all seasons.
I used Tim Holtz distress ink with the stamps on this layout.

patterned paper: Fancy Pants
stamps: my Stamp BOX: tree for all seasons
buttons: Sassafras
Journaling tag: Creative Chasos..etsy( Jennifer Stevens)

loving Nikki Sivils, scrapbooker

After hearing about a new manufacturer..Nikki Sivils, scrapbooker and seeing how adorable her paper is, I was stoked to see her paper, diecuts and brads in the august kit at www.scrapbookkitclub.com
Amber threw in some American Crafts with the Nikki Sivils, and it all complemented each other perfectly!!!
This card is titled "life's a bowl of cherries"
I added a strip of ribbon as the grass
I liked the bingo chips that came with the kit, so I doodled on one and added it to the tummy of the chipboard girl figurine.

1st layout for August

As promised, here is my first layout using the August kit from www.crazydaisykits.com
Everything on this page was included in the kit.
I worked with a 6x8 picture of ds.
I added some doodling to the buttons, and chipboard, and placed my journaling directly onto the transparency.
Stay tuned..I will post another layout using this kit next week.
Go to www.crazydaisykits.com/blog to see what the rest of the team has been busy creating.
